"Then he said, 'Do you have the WiFi password?' and she said 'Buy something and ask at the counter,' and he said 'I did buy something,' and she said 'Try asking nicer,' and that was their entire relationship." After one week, Pourover restored the password to the menu board. Conversations returned to their previous baseline of near-zero, but customer satisfaction scores improved by 40%. "I learned that people come to coffee shops to be alone together," Pourover reflected. "And they need WiFi to do that."
