The Urbanist's Update Declares Its First Edition a Local Institution

The Urbanist's Update opened its first edition this morning by treating urbanism as both a civic duty and a highly specific weather event. The editorial desk reported calm, although nobody agreed on what counted as calm.

By noon, the local urbanism conversation had acquired a timetable, a committee, and one person willing to explain the whole thing from memory. That person was given a chair near the window and a very serious notebook.

Readers are invited to observe the proceedings with appropriate curiosity. The paper will continue to publish developments as soon as they become unnecessarily detailed.

This first edition is temporary design-review material. Its job is to make the front page feel open for business while the final corpus is prepared.
