Lale Demir

Lale Demir first encountered serious astronomy while closing a hair salon after a client spent forty minutes describing a nearby glow that had erased the Milky Way from her planned observation, and she began measuring the sky instead of sweeping the floor. Recently retired, she lives by one rule: no dark-sky claim survives until its nearest lamp, Bortle class, and SQM reading have been compared with the hours spent driving there.
