New App Lets You Trade Based Solely on Vibes, Moon Cycles, and Gut Feelings
Described as “astrology for asset allocation,” Vibestment allows users to execute trades without charts, news, or logic—just intuition and a mood slider.

AUSTIN, TX—Capitalizing on the growing intersection between self-care and speculative finance, startup Vibestment launched a groundbreaking new mobile app this week that allows users to trade stocks, crypto, and commodities based purely on their mood, energy levels, and the current moon phase—eschewing all traditional data in favor of what the founders call “fully embodied investing.”
“Our thesis is simple,” said co-founder Willow Bloom, who holds a BA in comparative mythology and a self-certified aura in portfolio healing. “Why should you need a Bloomberg terminal when your chakras already know the market is misaligned?”
Upon opening the app, users are prompted to select their current vibe—options range from “unbothered” to “feral with a side of FOMO”—as well as their astrological sign and whether Mercury is retrograde. The app then generates a suggested portfolio using a proprietary algorithm described as “mostly vibes but with light seasoning from Jupiter’s current house.”
“Today I felt nostalgic, so Vibestment allocated me 40% Disney, 30% vintage Beanie Babies NFTs, and 30% sadness,” said beta user Mateo Lin, 29. “It’s eerily accurate.”
Other features include a Gut Check button (which flips a coin but with ‘crystal energy’) and a “Don’t Ask Me Why” tab that executes a trade entirely at random, usually in emerging markets no one has heard of.
Bloom emphasizes that the platform is about reconnecting with the inner investor. “Wall Street’s been gatekeeping finance for too long. Vibestment returns power to the person with the strongest emotional response to a ticker symbol.”
Financial institutions remain wary. “We’ve had decades of quantitative research, fundamental analysis, and econometric modeling,” said Goldman Sachs strategist Tom Devlin. “This app replaces all of that with a woman named Zadie whispering, ‘Trust your spleen.’”
Nonetheless, the app has surged in popularity among Gen Z and TikTok financial influencers, some of whom have gained massive followings by posting their “Mercury-in-Gemini swing trade rituals” under the hashtag #ZodiacPicksOnly.
“I vibe-traded my way into a 14% gain last month,” said user @AquariusRiskProfile. “I don’t know what a P/E ratio is, but I do know when a stock’s aura is off.”
At press time, Vibestment had announced a premium feature called “Lunar Hedging,” which automatically sells positions before eclipse season.
